The Proof: see it work on your problem, built the way production is built

A proof of concept on a use case you choose, built on FORGE with your standards in force. It is deployed and running in production, at proof size, so the thing you evaluate is the thing you ship. You see the product working on your problem, and you see how we work.

The Proof takes one use case you choose and proves FORGE, our engineering platform, on it. The proof is built on the same path as a production system and deployed into production, sized to a proof. Your architecture and security standards are in force from the first commit. The tests are planned from the requirements before the code is written. The pipeline is generated rather than assembled by hand. It shows you two things at once. The product, working on your real problem rather than a vendor demo. And the way BtSavvy works: the decisions you own, the reviews you take part in, and the engineer accountable for what ships.

A proof of concept built to demo has a sandbox, a happy path and none of the discipline production demands. The demo succeeds and the project stalls anyway, because nothing the demo proved carries over. The Proof is built the other way round. It is built on the same path as production, with no lighter one made for demos. The depth of review is worked out from the change itself, and setting a check aside is itself recorded as a decision someone made. So the Proof proves that this works, built the way you would have to build it, with the architecture respected and the evidence produced. Where the use case has AI in it, the proof carries its own evaluation: accuracy against known-good answers and resistance to prompt injection. The pass mark stays with a named person, never with the agent that did the work. You are evaluating two things in any first engagement, the product and the partner. A slide deck proves neither.

From the use case you choose, one unbroken teal line runs the production path through first commit, tests, pipeline and review to a proof running in production, while an ember line built to demo curls into a sandbox and stops.

What's included

A working proof, its evidence and an assessment. Yours whether or not more follows.

  • A working proof on the use case you select. Built on FORGE, against your real problem, with your standards in force. What you see working was built the way production is built.
  • The evidence beside it. The same evidence a production build produces, sized to a proof. Traceability from each requirement to the work that implemented it, and the record of who decided what. Where the use case has AI in it, the evaluation results. Real enough to read. Yours to keep, in your repository.
  • The way we work, experienced. Accountable engineers. Decisions you own and reviews you take part in. By the end you know what working with BtSavvy is like from having done it, rather than from a reference call.
  • A production assessment. What the proof demonstrated in production, what taking it to full scale would involve, and a proposed next step. Yours whether or not a larger engagement follows.

When to engage

When someone has to see it work before they will sponsor it.

A stakeholder needs working evidence that this approach handles your domain before backing something larger. Earlier proofs of concept, internal or vendor-built, never reached production, and the next one has to be built to survive. Two or three approaches are under evaluation, and the decision needs something running rather than a comparison deck. The buying decision turns on what working with BtSavvy is like.

What comes next

The usual next step from a Proof is a First Build, the same discipline taking one whole application end to end into production. Where the ambition spans the estate, the Proof becomes the working input to a Strategy to Run scoping conversation. Some conclude with the assessment. A proof that tells you what the full build would take, before you commit to it, is a valid outcome. Everything the Proof produced carries forward into whatever comes next, whenever it comes.

Start a Proof.

A BtSavvy engineer will scope the Proof with your engineering lead, against the use case you select. You leave with a working proof and its evidence, whether or not a larger engagement follows.
